Lab 22. RIP Default Route - Default Information Originate


Tujuan Lab :

  • Mendistribusikan default route ke semua router RIP menggunakan perintah default information originate

Topologi Lab :




Metode Lab :
  • Konfigurasikan pengalamatan IP untuk topologi di atas
  • Konfigurasikan RIP untuk topologi di atas
  • Buat beberapa IP Loopback di Router R3 namun jangan di advertise ke RIP
  • Konfigurasikan Default Information Originate di Router R3
  • Pastikan pada Router R1 dan R2 terdapat default route dalam routing tabelnya
  • Lakukan tes ping ke IP Loopback Router R3 yang tidak di advertise ke dalam RIP

Verifikasi Lab :
  • Pastikan semua router terdapat default route dalam tabel routingnya
  • Pastikan ping ke loopback Router R3 berhasil mendapat reply

Ada 3 cara untuk mendistribusikan default route ke dalam RIP
1). Default-information originate
2). Redistribute static default route
3). ip default-network



Konfigurasi Router R1:

Pada Router R3 sudah ditambahkan IP Loopback berikut
1). Loopback 1 : 33.33.33.1/32
2). Loopback 2 : 33.33.33.2/32
3). Loopback 3 : 33.33.33.3/32

Ketiganya tidak diadvertise ke dalam RIP. Network ini yang akan dijadikan pengujian default route, yaitu route yang tidak ada di dalam tabel routing setiap router.

Cek terlebih dahulu tabel routing pada Router R1 dan R2

R1#sh ip route

     1.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnets
C       1.1.1.1 is directly connected, Loopback0
R    2.0.0.0/8 [120/1] via 12.12.12.2, 00:00:02, Serial0/0

Dapat kita lihat di atas merupakan tabel routing dari Router R1 dan R2 yang belum kita konfigurasi default-information originate nya. Kemudian coba tes ping dari Router R1 dan R2 ke IP Loopback Router R3.

Terlihat bawa Router R1 dan R2 tidak terkoneksi dengan IP Loopback Router R3, karena IP Loopback pada Router R3 tidak diadvertise ke dalam RIP sehingga tidak terdapat di dalam tabel routing setiap router

Langkah berikutnya konfigurasikan default-information originate pada Router R3 supaya IP Loopback Router R3 dapat terkoneksi dengan Router R1 dan R2.

R3(config)#router rip
R3(config-router)#default-information originate

Kemudian cek kembali tabel routing pada Router R1 dan R2

R1#sh ip route

Dapat kita lihat kembali pada tabel routing Router R1 dan R2 terdapat deafult route (default-information originate) yang diterima dari Router R3. Kemudian coba tes ping dari Router R1 dan R2 ke IP Loopback Router R3.
